Sheila has a passion for helping those who are less fortunate (which she realized over 15 years ago). As a compassionate citizen of Duval County, Sheila observed that there are numerous people in Duval and surrounding counties who are living on the streets with no permanent place to call their own. Sheila felt that God was calling her to action. Sheila appealed to God saying over and over, "I know I can't assist them all, but my prayer is for you to use me to make a difference in the lives of those that I come into contact with. Letting them know that there are Godly people in this world who care about them and their well- being."In 2012, God led Sheila to step out on faith believing on the word which says, "I can do all things through Christ because He gives me strength" (Phil 4:13 NCV). Blessing Others All the Time (B.O.A.T.T.) depends on volunteers along with contributions from public and private donors. By working together, we can carry out the word of God throughout His land!

I truly believe in B.O.A.T.T. and it's mission to serve others. Blessing Others All The Time is not just words but a lifestyle. I am thankful to be a member of this non profit and to witness the love expressed to the under-served and homeless community. I know that God is my provider, and a yet I do not take it for granted. I realize that life happens and the citizens we service could have and still can very well be me. We all have a story and none of us is exempt from being a paycheck away from homelessness especially more so during this pandemic. God continues to provide. My scriptures of faithEphesians 3:20 and Psalm 23:1

I chose to be a board member of this organization because of the love and caring for those who don’t receive blessings often. Blessing Others All The Time is done frequently and I am truly honored to be a part of them and the Health Care Ministry at Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church.

I have served as a volunteer over 12 years and have been a Board Member with Blessing Others All The Time, Inc., (B.O.A.T.T.) since it was established in 2012. It's humbling to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve. It is indeed a fulfilling service. I asked God to make me a blessing because it's always better to give than to receive.

I have been a Board Member of Blessing Others All The Time, Inc. (BOATT) since the inception of the organization in 2012. I was drawn to join The BOATT organization because I personally know the commitment level of our Executive Director, Sheila Brown Jefferson to help others. Having known Sheila for over 30 years, I know she has always felt called to help others. And I have watched her over the years, rise to answer that particular call. She does not waiver in her commitment to provide non perishable to the underserved in our community.
I am a graduate of Edward Waters College, historically black college, an HBCU located in Jacksonville, FL with a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management and I earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. I am retired from the City of Jacksonville where I worked as a Human Resources Manager for over 20 years. I am semi-retired and presently work for the Duval County School Police Department.
I plan to continue to serve on the Board of BOATT because I believe in the mission and I feel blessed to be a wheel in the cog of an effort to serve those who are less fortunate.

I love love love serving and being a part of such an awesome group. BO.A.T.T goes above and beyond to reach out and hep those that are need. I enjoy helping out with our quarterly distributions, fundraisers and holiday events when we distribute items to those in need. In addition to being a board member of B.O.A.T.T, I am a part of the Mission Ministry at Shiloh Baptist Church where we participate in Farm Share and have a clothes panty for those that are in need of clothing items.
